I spend my working life helping capital-intensive organizations improve how they execute — bringing together portfolio governance, operational performance, and data-enabled decision-making to close the gap between strategy and what actually happens on the ground.

Twenty years in the energy sector (including a stint as Shell's Global Head of Performance Insights) gave me an unusual vantage point: close enough to the data to build the systems, senior enough to see where the decisions actually get made — and where they don't.

What I write about here

Medium is where I think out loud. Side projects, data experiments, operational patterns I keep noticing across industries, and the occasional take on where AI and digital tools are genuinely useful versus where they're just noise.

I'm a long-time sci-fi reader, intermittent YouTuber, and firm believer that the most underrated skill in any transformation is knowing which problem you're actually solving.
